Melvin LaPointe, Colton
Melvin C. Lapointe, 64, of 22846 Palm Ave., Colton, died Saturday in Loma Linda. He was born in San Bernardino and lived in Colton 20 years.
LaPointe, a veteran of World War II and retired from the Navy, was employed as a clerk with Loma Linda University Medical Center two years.
Survivors include his wife, Norma D.; a son, Roger of Colton; a daughter, Carol Ann Nunn of Highland; two step-daughters, Doris Dodson and Kathleen Wahler, both of Loma Linda; a brother, Ernest C of Van Nuys; two sisters, Rosetta Ames of Loma Linda and Marie Lemon of Kentucky, and two grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Emmerson-Bartlett Loma Linda Chapel with burial to follow in Montecito Memorial Park.
