FRANKLIN, Julia Scott, 41, of Goodview, went to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, March 17, 2001. She was a generous, caring individual who loved life. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband, David Lynn Franklin; her parents, Clifton R. "Sam" and Leona G. Scott of Vinton; a sister and brother-in-law, Ginger and Bill Kirby of Salem; a step son, David Shane Franklin of Goodview; two nephews and a niece, Scott, Johnathan, and Melissa; her mother-in-law, Brenda Franklin of Goodview; two sisters-in-law, Annette Thompson of Beaumont, Texas, Linda Franklin of Vinton; two life-long friends, Lori Patsell and Debbie Kelly; and a special pet, Rusty. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday from Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Pastor Joey Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
