FRANKLIN, Julia Scott, 41, of Goodview, went to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, March 17, 2001. She was a generous, caring individual who loved life. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband, David Lynn Franklin; her parents, Clifton R. "Sam" and Leona G. Scott of Vinton; a sister and brother-in-law, Ginger and Bill Kirby of Salem; a step son, David Shane Franklin of Goodview; two nephews and a niece, Scott, Johnathan, and Melissa; her mother-in-law, Brenda Franklin of Goodview; two sisters-in-law, Annette Thompson of Beaumont, Texas, Linda Franklin of Vinton; two life-long friends, Lori Patsell and Debbie Kelly; and a special pet, Rusty. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday from Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Pastor Joey Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, where the family will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. (Roanoke Times, The (VA) - March 19, 2001)
