She leaves behind a dedicated and devoted daughter-in-law, Rhonda White, who has been her caregiver through the years; a loving and caring granddaughter, Victoria "Tori" White, who was the apple of her eye; and one sister, Mary Francis Ross.
She worked at Trailways for many years and was the secretary at Fork Union Baptist Church until she retired to keep her precious granddaughter until she started school. She also helped her husband in the family insurance business for many years until he retired. She enjoyed her yearly family vacations to Myrtle Beach. She was a member of the Fork Union Ladies Auxiliary and had many hobbies, which included painting, watching her favorite football team (Redskins) and making gingerbread houses with her granddaughter. Heaven has truly gained another angel, and she will be sorely missed.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service on Tuesday, October 18, 2016,at Fork Union Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the graveside at Fork Union Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Reverend Warren Johnson.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the College Savings Fund for Victoria L. White in care of BB&T Bank, Fork Union, Va.Sheridan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
