Catherine Zehner was the only daughter of Anthony and Catherine Fromme Vonderheide. She and her husband Ray left Illinois for the dry air of Arizona in the early 1960s. The climate relieved the pain of arthritis she suffered after a car accident. She worked 20 years at the hospital in Chandler.
