Vickie Moore Davis, 62, of Albany, GA died October 13, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Sherwood Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Kendrick and Rev. David Joiner will officiate. Interment will follow in the Leesburg City Cemetery.
A native of Dyersburg, TN, Vickie moved with her family to Albany, GA in 1963. She graduated from Westover High School 1n 1972 and received a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from Georgia Southwestern College.
Vickie was a middle school teacher at, Merry Acres, Lee County and for the last twenty years at Sherwood Christian Academy. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and the Faith Seekers Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her father, William Gerald Moore.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny E. Davis of Albany, GA, her six children, Johnny (Kary) Davis of Colorado Springs, CO, Crystal Davis (Quinn Hancock), Kelly (Steve) Corley, and Kara Bertram (Jason Wingard) all of Leesburg, GA, Kevin (Wendi) Davis of Ramstein AFB, Germany, and Ashley (Joey) Tucker of Albany, GA, her mother and step-father, Virginia and Eddie Neufang of Albany, GA, three sisters, Gerrilynn (Sonny) Davis and Sandra Jo Nadrich all of Albany, GA and Karen Louise Moore of Worth County, GA, her father-in-law, Art (Helga) Connell of Albany, GA, her sister-in-law, Gail Padgett of Worth Co, GA, twenty one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday at Mathews Funeral Home.
