Fighter of Greek War of Independence and politician. He was prime minister of Greece from May 26 to 10 October 1862.

Second son of Theodoros Kolokotronis and Katerina Karousou.

The nickname "Gennaios" (Brave), by which he is known, was given to him by his comrades because of the bravery that he exhibited in battle during the Greek Revolution.
