Olivia Catherine Davis, age 97, of Johnstown, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016, at the Wells Nursing Home in Johnstown.

Born on February 7, 1919 in Dover, N.H., she was the daughter of the late Michael and Agnes Hughes Donovan.

Her mother died when she was 2 years old; and was then raised by her aunt, Olivia Cummings in Peabody, MA. She graduated from Peabody High School and the North Shore Babies Hospital. While her husband was in the service she was employed as a nanny in Boston and also Greenville, South Carolina. She and her husband moved to Johnstown and she was employed as a cafeteria aide at Glebe Street School until her retirement. Mrs. Davis was a member of the former St. Patrick’s Church now Holy Trinity Parish and was also a member of the Catholic Daughters and the Rosary Society. On June 20, 1943, she was united in marriage to Ernest A. Davis and he passed away on September 24, 2010.

Survivors include two daughters, Olivia (Michael) Malatino of Johnstown and Janet (Ken) Bray of Johnstown: one son, Peter (Donna) Davis of Concord, N.H.; seven grandchildren Megan and Michael Malatino, Amanda Rusin, Matt and Brad Davis and Carrie and Brandon Bray; seven great-grandchildren; and 1 great- great grandson.

She is predeceased by her brother Jack Donovan; and infant twin sons.

Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Johnstown.
