She was the wife of the late John Frank Murphy, Sr.. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Wiley and Lula Leigh Powell. She was retired from the Singer Plant after 23 years. She was a retired Real Estate Agent where she served on the Board of Realtors for 22 years and a devoted CNA for many years. She was past Worthy Matron in the Order of the Eastern Stars. Nannie was a member of the Baptist Church and attended Gethsemane Baptist Temple as long as her health permitted.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Those left to cherish her memories are a son, Douglas Murphy, of the home; and two grandsons, John Gregory Murphy and his wife Susan of Antreville, SC and Keith Patrick Lusk and his wife Katy, of Belton, SC; three great-grandchildren, Kally and Klay Lusk of Belton, SC and Brantly Murphy of Antreville, SC. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, J. Frank “Frankie” Murphy, Jr.
The Graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Ray Grant officiating.
