Rebecca "Becky" Halfmoon Briggs joined many loved ones and her heavenly father Oct. 13, 2016, after a brave four-year battle. Becky is survived by her children, Stacey Halfmoon, Leslie Halfmoon, and Joe McNulty. She was preceded in death by husband, Gary Briggs; her parents, Hubert and Corinne Halfmoon; daughter, Ashley Hudnall; and sister, Mary Ann Brittan. Becky was born May 8, 1949, at the Kiowa Indian Hospital in Lawton. A citizen of the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma, Becky was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife. A passionate educator, she taught in the OKC Public School system for over twenty years. Becky loved spending time with her family and was known as "Grammie" to her adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Raven, Kylie, Gabriel, Corinna, Hailey, Hayden, Mesa, Harper, Elias, Kylor, and Aila. She served on the Caddo Tribal Council and on other boards as a distinguished member. She loved music, especially anything by the Bobs - Dylan and Marley. She was famous for her sense of humor and her ability to make any time a good time. She loved traveling and enjoyed good food, wine and conversation. A celebration of her life will take place on Oct. 18, 2016, at 2 p.m. Viewing and Visitation will be on Oct. 17, 2016, 4-8 p.m. Services will be at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
