ABOHBOT, Anne York-At Toronto General Hospital, on Thursday, September 18, 1997, of Waterloo, Anne grew up in Caledonia and was a member of the Waterloo County Historical Society and was a founding member of the Cancer Support Group, Getting Well Again. She had also been employed with the Kitchener and Waterloo Public Libraries.

Daughter of the late Dr. Harry and Lillian Whitehead; beloved wife of Jim; dear sister of Jane Wilson and her husband Bruce, Johanna O'Neill-Whitehead and Sean O-Neill-Whitehead and Sue and her mother, Mrs. Ruth Harlocker; loving daughter-in-law of Avis Abohbot; sister-in-law of Sally and her husband, Jim Szarvas. Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Anne's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St S., Waterloo on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Funeral and committal service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Paul Ellingham officiating. Cremation to follow.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are greatly appreciated by the family.
