Charles Stephens age 84 of Snellville, GA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.

Charles is survived by his wife of 61 years, son, daughter, grandson, sister and brother in law, brother, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Charles was born on May 9, 1932 in Loganville, GA. He was a Grayson High school graduate and resided in Snellville for over 50+ years. On August 20, 1945 he married the love of his life. He was employed with Georgia Power prior to retirement. He served in the US Army and was Past Master of Grayson Lodge #549, where he served for 55 years.. In his free time he loved fishing, camping, square dancing and collecting tractors. He was a member of the John Deere tractor club and a member of Chestnut Baptist Church in Grayson, GA.

The Funeral Service to Honor and Celebrate the life Charles Stephens will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, Grayson, GA. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to The Masonic Children’s Home, Attention: Grand Lodge Secretary, PO Box 4665, Macon, GA 31208.
