Jeanne Kate Cauley passed away quietly Friday, July 24, 2015, at the age of 74. She was born in Brownwood, Texas, on March 21, 1941, to Pat and Opal Cagle. Jeanne graduated from Comanche High School in 1959 and was Centennial Queen of Comanche County. She went on to attend Texas Tech University majoring in child development and was a member Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. During this time, she met her future husband, Dr. Joe Cauley. They were married in Comanche, Texas, in June of 1961. Following four years of her husband's dental school education, the birth of her son, Michael, and two years in the United States Army, the young family arrived in Seagraves, Texas, in 1967 where her husband, Joe started his dental practice. They remained there until his retirement in 1996. Jeanne's strong suit was her unwavering devotion to her family, friends, and her Lord. Her husband, Joe and son, Mike will forever be thankful for that tireless and unselfish dedication as a wife and mother. Jeanne and Joe will also be remembered by many of her son's classmates, having served as class parents all four years of their son's high school years. She was a loving grandmother (NeeNee) to her two grandchildren, Tyler and Whitney Cauley. Following her husband's retirement, Jeanne lived out the remainder of her years donating her time and resources to numerous faith based causes. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Lubbock serving as one of their prayer warriors. A special thanks to Teresa Wilson, Beatrice Martinez, Tina Wall, Teresa Rico, Donna Tanner, and Pastor Tom Lakey, for their kindness and assistance during Jeanne's struggles with her illness. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Danny Cagle. Jeanne is survived by her husband, Dr. Joe Cauley; her son, Dr. Michael Cauley; her two grandchildren, Tyler and Whitney Cauley; her great-granddaughter, Lindsey Cauley; and her sister, Dr. Kyle Jane Coulter.
