Leo Rogers, 86, of Latham, MO passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics in Columbia, MO. He was born on August 14, 1930 in Barnett, Mo. the son of Harvey Elmer Rogers and Lula Pearl Griffin both of who preceded him in death. He was married on August 9, 1953 to Jean Kueffer at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in California, Mo. who survives of the home. He was a graduate of Tipton High School in 1948, served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, he worked as a line builder for COMO and a lifelong farmer, also enjoyed driving his horses, trail rides, raising cattle and farming. Survivors include two sons Eddie Rogers of Fortuna, Mo., Rick (Tina) Rogers of Latham, MO, one daughter Dianne (Michael) Brown of Latham, MO, three brothers Dean (Gladys) Rogers of Kansas, Ivan (Doris) Rogers of Centerview, MO, Lawrence (Anita) Rogers of Barnett, MO, three sisters Betty (Wiley) Clark of Harrisonville, MO, Shirley Tippie of Pleasant Hill, MO, Dorothy (Paul) Enloe of Blue Springs, MO., two grandsons Jesse Rogers, Brian Brown. He was preceded in death by one brother Loran Rogers. Visitation will be on Monday, October 17, 2016 from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 10 A.M. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Marriott. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorials are suggested to Highland Cemetery c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak St. California, MO.
