Mrs. Baumgardner was the daughter of the late Charles Frank "Buckeye" and America Holly Howell-Campbell. She was a native of Carter County and retired from Tri-State Container Corporation. Ira was a member of East Side Christian Church. In addition to her parents, Buckeye and Hollie Campbell, Ira was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Baumgardner, February 9, 2003.
Ira Lena Campbell-Baumgardner is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Sandy and Gary Mallory of Nashville, TN; Carole Hazelwood, Hampton, TN; one grandson and his wife, Chris and Sylvia Hazelwood, Hampton; a granddaughter, Jeanne Mallory, Mount Juliet, TN; two sisters, Eula Nave, Johnson City and Pauline Oliver, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The graveside service and interment will be conducted on Friday November 3, 2006 at 1:00 PM in the Dogwood Section of Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Charles Fitzsimmons, Minister, officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:55 PM.
