Elmer J. Clark (Junior), age 78, a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away at home with his family, Thursday, October 13, 2016.

Jr. was a member of Bakers Creek Presbyterian Church and was retired after 35 years from Stowers Machinery in Knoxville. He loved racing, farming and classic cars. Despite his long illness, Jr. kept his infectious smile and kind spirit until he was called home. He will be greatly missed by many who were blessed by his friendship.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Annis Carpenter-Clark; father, Elmer J. Clark; stepmother, Mary Lou Clark; brothers, Henry Clark-Kidd, James Clark; sister, Jean Vineyard; great grandson, Aiden Cooper; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rhea and Zura Simerly all of Maryville.

Survived by wife of 56 years, Mary June Simerly-Clark; brothers, Ralph Clark and Claude Clark; children, Brenda (David) Wright, John (Kristy) Clark, Tammy (Allan) Turner; grandchildren, Andy (Stephanie) Cooper, Rachel (Jordan) Conley, Kevan and Morgan Turner, Landon and Miranda Clark; 5 great grandchildren.

Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Bakers Creek Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Ron Sabo officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at Bakers Creek Presbyterian Church.
