She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Wayne Owens; a daughter, Diane Owens; brothers, Wade Rowell, C.W. Rowell, Jimmy Rowell; sisters, Mildred Rowell and Cora Bell Ellis; and a grandchild, Lawson Bethea.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by her husband, Henry E. Edwards of the home; a daughter, Jackie Britt (Leonard) of Lumberton; brothers, Leroy “Dick” Rowell (Shelby) and Guy Rowell all of Nichols, SC; sisters, Dollie King of Lakeview, SC and Ann Dilhoff (Jim) of Oxford, OH; grandchildren, Billy Cook, Janice Denise James, Mark Floyd, Kevin Rexrode, Amy Bethea, and Sara Norton (Becky); eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 12:00 PM at First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Norman Smith and Rev. Russell Kinlaw, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery. A time for visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00-12:00 PM at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 812 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
