LEXINGTON, Ky. — Michael Roy Cheek, 60, was born in Bremerhaven,
Germany on Monday, Dec. 19, 1949, and passed away Wednesday (July 14, 2010)
at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lexington, K y.
Michael was the son of the late Roy C. Cheek and Ruby Hyden Cheek.
Michael was an Air Force veteran, a graduate of Western Kentucky
University and Mountain Empire Community College and a registered nurse by
profession. Michael was of the Presbyterian faith and an avid University of
Kentucky Wildcats fan, “Go Big Blue!”
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; and his mother-in-law,
Wandaleen Fern Payne Thomas.
