James R. Reavis died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Ann Smith Reavis; father of Reed Reavis (Sarah Law-Reavis); grandfather of Laurence J. Law-Reavis; brother of Virginia Smith; and son of the late Margaret Ann Hull and Russell Clifford Reavis. Mr. Reavis was a graduate of Carnegie Tech, now Carnegie Mellon University, and spent his career as a mechanical and electrical engineer with Westinghouse. After his retirement, he worked as a professional engineer with Gamma Sports.

Friends will be received from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at JOHN A. FREYVOGEL SONS INC., 4900 Centre Ave. at Devonshire St. (freyvogelfuneralhome.com). Interment will be private.
