At the age of one, David moved with his family to McAlester, Oklahoma where he attended elementary through high school, graduating in 1947. He furthered his education at Eastern Oklahoma A&M for two years before attending Oklahoma A&M, now Oklahoma State University, and becoming a lifetime alumni member and an avid Cowboy fan. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Kent Dickson and his parents. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Fosters' Ivory Chapel with Rev. Bill Bailey of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Gibson officiating. Masonic rites will be presented by members of the local Masonic lodges. Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery.
