GLADWYN N. DOUGHMAN
(1930 - 2016)

Gladwyn N. Doughman, age 86, of the town of Kossuth, entered into eternal life Monday, October 10, 2016 at his residence.

He was born May 2, 1930 in Two Rivers to the late Karl and Adeline Lalko Doughman-Tolksdorf. He married the former Joan Kutz who preceded him in death. He later married Frances Tolksdorf Ney. Gladwyn was a school teacher in Waukesha Co. for several years and was also employed as a pattern engineer for the Grede Foundry. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict in the 7th. Division, 31st.Infantry Division, Item Company as a Sergeant E-5. Gladwyn was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot where he served on the Finance Committee and where he ushered for many years. He served as past President of the Master Gardeners Association and received a plaque for 5000 hours of volunteering for the association. He was also a member of the Happy Hoppers Dance Club where he also served as past President. Gladwyn served on the Pattern Committee for the American Foundry Society. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife: Frances, his children: Mike and Connie Doughman, of Columbus, GA, Dean Doughman, of Iron Mountain, MI, David Doughman, of Columbus, GA, Donata and Chris Sorensen, of Richland, WA, his step-children: John and Kelly Jean Ney, of Seymour, WI, Robert Ney, of Las Vegas, NV, Bruce and Linda Ney, of Manitowoc, Bill and Donna Ney, of Campbellsport, WI, Gerard and Miri Ney, of Melnik, Michael Ney, of Shoto, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is further survived by one brother: Kenneth (Patricia) Doughman, of Cederburg, WI, two 1/2 sisters: Mary Lou (Bernard) Duval, of Two Rivers, Rita Tolksdorf, of Two Rivers, nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2016 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot, with the Reverend John Becker officiating with burial to follow in the St. Fidelis Cemetery in the town of Newton. Relatives and friends may call after 9:00 a.m. on Friday at the church, until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Immediately after the Mass, Military Rites will be accorded by the Mishicot VFW Kempen-Staudinger-Terens Post # 7753.

The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting with funeral arrangements.
