BETTENDORF — Tim L. Gordon, 78, of Bettendorf, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016.
A memorial service will be at the Kingdom Hall at 1175 N. Lincoln Ave., Bettendorf, at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16. Inurnment will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.
Tim was born the son of Robert E. and Mary K. (Mullins) Gordon on Jan. 20, 1938, in Moline. He was united in marriage to Judy Townsend on Jan. 13, 1962, in Davenport. They met through a mutual friend and were engaged in April 1961. Tim worked at J.I. Case and Walmart before retiring. He enjoyed reading the Bible and telling others about it.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy, of 54 years; daughters, Amy (Mike) Boggs, Carole (Matt) Beni, Linda (Steve) Daly and Nancy Gordon; brothers, Robert and Joseph Gordon; sister, Jeanie Bunch; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Clement Anderson.
