Mrs. Stuckey was a member of the Baptist faith and through her spiritual journey has been a member of several congregations in Laurens County, most recent being Jefferson Street Baptist. She loved her friends from the Dudley, Rentz and Dublin communities. She loved all aspects of life; her friends, neighbors, and family were the joys of her existence. She was a very caring person, but was plain spoken and you always knew where you stood with “Ms. Lil” or “Gran”.
She cared deeply about God, family and never forgot the living or those that had passed on. She was always on cemetery patrol with flowers and making sure her family’s resting place was looked after. She was a hard worker and worked many jobs to help provide for her family. Her favorite work was being a caregiver for others until her health declined. Her main hobbies were working crossword puzzles and fishing. Oh how she loved to fish!
Having five children of her own and being the last of ten children, she knew the meaning of family and always pushed for family reunions and keeping family traditions alive. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Annie Lindsey Moon; husband, Fred C. Stuckey, Jr.; sons, Ronald E. Stuckey and Mike Stuckey, and son-in-law, James T. Haskins, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Serenity Hospice, 520 Hillcrest Pkwy., Dublin, GA 31021.
