Phyllis A. Hamlin, 87, of North Baltimore, died at 10:50 p.m., Monday, October 10, 2016, at Fox Run Manor, Findlay. She was born on April 25, 1929, in North Baltimore to the late Herbert "Bliss" and Addie (Withrow) Harris. She married John P. Hamlin on March 31, 1951, and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2016. Phyllis is survived by her son, William (Janet) Hamlin of North Baltimore; her daughters: Cheryl Ann (Doug) Hanna of Van Buren and Jacqueline "Jackie" Kay Hamlin of Van Buren; her grandchildren: John Hamlin, Julie Hamlin, Joella Hamlin, Jason Hanna, Chad Hanna, Amber Clouser Wymer and Emily Clouser; her step-grandsons: Wesley and Josh VanWormer; her 12 great-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Harris; her sister, Cletis E. Strite. Phyllis was a homemaker and a loving farmers wife. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Fox Run Manor and Bridge Home Health and Hospice for all of the care and compassion given to their mother. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2016, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, with Pastor Kelly Sterling officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Portage Township. Visitation will be held from 3:00-8:00 p.m., Friday at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore.
