Born in 1931 in Madisonville, Kentucky, he was raised in Carneys Point. Bobbie joined the US Marines serving as a mechanic until his discharge in 1955 from Quantico with the rank of Staff Sergeant and in civilian life was employed as a building inspector for Newark, DE.
Bobbie settled as a Pennsville resident for most of his adult life and is survived by his wife, Diane [Peterson], daughter, Lee Ann Edwards, and sons, Robert Edwards and Douglas [Barbara] Edwards, granddaughters, Jasmine and Dakota Edwards, brother, David [Dorothy] Edwards and sisters Clara Jones and Alberta Gaskill and many nieces and nephews and families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Effie [Kloke] Edwards and brothers Arthur Edwards and Albert Edwards, Jr.
There will be no viewing. Graveside service will be held by Laughrey Funeral Home at the Finns Point National Cemetery, Pennsville NJ on Wed. Jan. 13 at 1 pm.
