Rev. Gerald A. Lawson, age 80, of Maryville, went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2016, at Life Care Nursing Home in Morristown.

He founded Full Gospel Christian Fellowship Church in 1983, was a Korean War Veteran, Evangelist, and worked for many years with Bostich and Senco as a salesman.

He was preceded in death by father, Ervin Lawson; mother and stepfather, Mae and Kenneth Kessler; along with siblings, Ray Lawson, Gene Lawson, Kermit Trent, Trula Brimer, Cas Trent and Rebecca Kessler.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Frazier Lawson; children, Sue and husband Joe Hasse, Marlene and husband Stanley Lawson, Gary Lynn and wife Lisa Lawson, and Stepson Gary Douglas and wife Teresa Lovingood; sister, Pat and husband Bob Arp; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Gary Douglas Lovingood and Rev. Dale Buchanan officiating. The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016, at Clarks Grove Cemetery for graveside and interment services.
