Mrs. Julia Belle Wildes Dowling, age 91, died Thursday morning at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Fl. after a brief illness. She was a native of Charlton County but had lived several years in Pierce and Brantley Counties before moving to Callahan, Fl. In 1983.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Lester Dowling and her parents Henry Preston Wildes and Martha McKenzy Clark Wildes.

Mrs. Dowling was a homemaker.

She was an active member of Buford Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the Adult 2 Sunday School Class. She was also the team mother for the church bowling league.

She is survived by her 4 daughters Latriece Osteen husband Roy of Blackshear, Patricia Elledge of Atlanta, Bonnie Hull husband K.D. of Atlanta, Judy Ramsey husband Gary of Eddyville, KY. a son Buddy Dowling wife Libby of Callahan, Fl., 12 Grand Children, 14 Great Grand Children, a sister Mary Mixon husband Cecil of Waycross, and a Brother-in-law Robert Bowen of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A funeral service will be held 11AM Tuesday at Buford Grove Baptist Church in Hilliard, Nassau Co, Florida. Burial will be in the Twin Rivers Baptist Church Cemetery in Brantley County. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 until 8pm at Smith Funeral Home in Blackshear, GA.
