Janet Louise (Nickerson) Mullett passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley on Friday, October 7th the age of 85. She was born June 18, 1931 in Auburn Maine to the late Clayton and Irene (Gilliat) Nickerson.

Janet is predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Wilfred Samuel Mullett, infant son Donald Thomas Mullett, infant grandson Jason Alan Ramsey and her parents.

Janet is lovingly remembered by her 6 children, Richard Mullett of Fitchburg, Nancy (Bill) Smith of Ohio, Judy (Jonathan) Friend of Pepperell, Margie (Tim) Ramsey of Texas, Tom Mullett of Virginia, Sue Petralia of Townsend, her sister Virginia Bruce of Maryland and brother Wilbur Nickerson of New Hampshire, 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Janet was a woman of strong faith who loved her Lord first and her husband, family and extended family with her whole heart. Janet along with her husband Wilfred were owners of AAA Framing, Inc. until their retirement. Janet was known as a kind soul. She loved children and the printed word. Janet's love and dedication to children included being a Sunday school teacher for over 30 years and being a foster parent to multiple special needs children. A Program in her honor was established called Janet's Bookworms which has gifted over 200 children with books and continues to enhance reading in the lives of grade school children.

Her hobbies included knitting, cross stitch, cake decorating, singing in the church choir, crafts, cooking and baking for her large family and spending time with her husband and children.

MULLETT -- A wake will be held in her honor at the McGaffigan Funeral Home, 37 Main Street, (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Thursday, October 13, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, October 14 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Association Cemetery Pepperell.
