Julia B. Shymoniak Peck, 89, of Industry, Ambridge and Midland, died Tuesday evening May 7. 2002 in UPMC Passavant Hospital, Wexford.

Born Sept 10, 2012 in Leetsdale, a daughter of the late Dmytro ("Metro") and Anastasia Sawchyshak Shymoniak, she had resided in LAS/St. John's Specialty Care Center, Mars, since 1998; Industry from 1956 until 1998, and previously in Midland and Ambridge. She retired in 1974 from numerous occupations, and with her husband, had owned and operated the former Pecks Dairy Bar in Midland in the 1950's. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Beaver.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack M. Peck, on June 26 1999; three brothers, Stephen, Michael and John Shymoniak, in infancy, and two sisters, Anna Simon and Mary Zegarac.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Eileen Peck, Avalon; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Samuel Bonaparte, New Sewickley Township; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Kay Cook, Beaver Falls, and Mrs. Frances Kemp, Bakersfield, CA.

Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in the J. T. Anderson Funeral Home, 205 College Ave, Beaver. A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 10 AM in the Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church 1098 Third St. Beaver with her pastor the Rev. Donald R. Thomas, officiating. Interment will follow in Economy Cemetery, Economy
