SWARTZ, MARGARET L. - A lifelong resident of Jackson, passed away on December 24, 2009, at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wesley; and by two sons, James Wesley, Jr. and Robert Keith. Margaret is survived by son, William (Evelyn) Swartz of Mason, MI; daughter-in-law, Tammy Swartz , of Jackson; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Survivors also include two sisters-in-law, Margaret Hubbard and Alta Keehn; and many nieces and nephews. Margaret was a graduate of Jackson High School, Class of 1938, and completed an Associate's Degree at Jackson Community College much later in her life. She was an avid gardener and obtained her Master Gardener Certificate from MSU. She enjoyed music, art, and reading and was an enthusiastic writer of poetry and short stories and enjoyed her involvement in local writers groups. For ten years, Margaret owned and operated the Lomarlyn Bridal Salon in Jackson which had previously been owned by her mother, Grace Dwight. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
