Rites for Karen Ulven
Services will be Wednesday in the First Lutheran Church, July 29, at 3 p.m., for Mrs. Karen Ulven, 66, 615 Eleventh street, who died in Havre Saturday.
Mrs. Ulven was born in Norway Sept. 1, 1903, and married Martin Ulven in Norway, March 25, 1926. The couple moved to Montana in 1926, farming in the Simpson area until 1956 when they moved to Havre.
A member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Degree of Honor Lodge, Mrs. Ulven also belonged to the Sons of Norway, the Cottonwood ALCW, and the World War I Barrack Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Sigurd (Mary) Meland, Mrs. Edgar (Ruth) Morse, Mrs. George (Edith) Gerky, and Mrs. Bill (Karen) Hinebauch, all of Havre; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Aletta Nagelhaus of Norway, and one brother, Olai Berg, of Norway.
