Della Mae Miller,90, passed away 22 Sep 2016. She was born 26 Jun 1926 in Logan, Utah a daughter of Charles Edward and Orilla Amy Jorgensen Lucas. She graduated from Logan High School and received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Utah State University.

Della Mae married John Calvin Miller 9 Jun 1947 in the Logan LDS Temple. The were married 44 years and raised five children. They enjoyed taking their family on fishing and camping trips. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in various callings. She also served in the Ogden Temple for many years.

Della was a beloved kindergarten teacher in the Ogden City and Weber County School Districts for 26 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, cooking and reading. In later years she was an active member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Above all, she loved spending time with her family, getting together often and traveling with them. She had a special ability to express love and connect with others in meaningful ways. Her optimism, sense of humor and zeal for life will long be remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers and four sisters.
