Anson I. Williams, Formerly Employed by Estey Organ Co. Succumbs to Angina Pectoris in Northampton
Anson I. Williams, 68, a native of Brattleboro, died Nov. 17 in his home at 78 West street, Northampton, Mass. He had been critically ill four weeks, suffering with angina pectoris.
He was born in Brattleboro April 6, 1855, and was employed at the Estey Organ works for 38 years. Twelve years ago he moved to Northampton, where he was employed at Smith college.
His first wife, Anna M. Bohrmann, died in 1911 and his second wife, Etta Sherwin, died in 1921.
He leaves one sister, Mrs. C.L. Smith of California, and two daughters, Mrs, Arthur G. Tidd of Northampton and Miss Louise Williams of Springfield, Mass.
Mr. Williams was a member of St. John's church, Wantastiquet lodge of Odd Fellows of Brattleboro, the Northampton Florists' club and the Edwards church Men's club.
The funeral was held Tuesday at 2 o'clock in St. John's church and burial was in Northampton.
