Daughter of John Martin and Mary Magdalene (Ganciger) Jenne, Clothilde was born in Baden Baden, Germany and came with her parents to Illinois when she was six years old. They moved to Whidbey Island, Washington in 1879 and On November 17, 1881 she married Anthony H. Kohne. They had two children, Alice who died at age four and Lena who later became Mrs. Frank J. Pratt Jr.
She was survived by her husband and her daughter Lena and by three brothers, Edward and Will Jenne of Ebey's Prairie and Martin Jenne of eastern Washington. She was predeceased by three brothers, George, Jake and Fred.
