Debra Kay “Snack Cake” Ebert, 36, formerly of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 in San Diego, California.
She was born on August 2, 1980 in Scottsburg, Indiana.
Debra graduated from Southwestern High School in 1998 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Tech Sergeant (E-6). While in the Air Force, she was stationed in Iceland, Okinawa, Japan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Korea, Florida, Virginia, Louisiana and California. Debra also served during the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars. She loved all beaches, Indiana University Basketball and Reba McEntire Concerts. Debra was also a former Legionnaire at the American Legion Post # 234.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Millard Barrett, Frank and Claire Ebert and an uncle, Roger Barrett.
Survivors include her mother, Linda F. Bussey of Scottsburg, Indiana; her father, Steven Michael Ebert of Columbus, Indiana; stepfather, Marvin Bussey of Marysville, Indiana; a sister: Stephanie Cady and her husband Paul of Austin, Indiana; a brother, Greg Barrett and his wife Michelle of Louisville, Kentucky; a grandmother, Mildred Botsford of Scottsburg, Indiana; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Collins Funeral Home with burial in New Bethel Cemetery near Chelsea, Indiana.
