ACRES, PAUL - 86, of Davis Lane, Oneida, passed away on Monday night, December 13, 1999 at the Life Care Center in Morgan County. He was the son of the late JOE ACRES and NELLIE ACRES and was also preceded in death by his wife, CLARA ACRES; two sisters, OPHIE REED and DURITA DAUGHERTY; and three brothers, ARZO, ARTIE and JAMES ACRES. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oneida. Survivors include a sister, LENA REED and husband HOLLIS; and a brother-in-law EUGENE DAUGHERTY. Funeral services were held on Wednesday evening, December 15, at 8:30 p.m. at West-Murley Funeral Home, with Rev. PHILIP KAZEE and Rev. DALE SMITH officiating. Burial will be held Thursday, December 16, at 10 a.m. at the Jonathan Chitwood Cemetery in Winfield. West-Murley Funeral Home in in charge of arrangements.
