Brenda Diane Taylor Hollis
Brenda Hollis, a former nurse's aide and healthcare worker of Sterlington, La., died peacefully on Feb. 6, 2014 after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Hollis was born on Mar.15, 1952 in Crossett, Ar. A former nurse's aide and healthcare worker, died peacefully after a lengthy illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lon Sherman Taylor and Donna Mae White Taylor and a sister Linda Taylor Behm.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Joseph U. Hollis, 2 daughters Donna and Kristy Hollis; 5 grandchildren, Katelyn, Allison and Natalie Martinez, Justin Sullivan and James William Lightsey all of Sterlington, La.; 1 nephew Matthew Behm and 1 niece Melody Behm, both of Mansfield, La.

Mrs. Hollis had been previously employed by North Monroe Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and Avalon Nursing Home. She was an avid animal lover and loved her pet dogs.

The family wishes to express its gratitude and appreciation to the entire staff of St. Joseph Christus and to Tonette Scott, Shannon Gannon, Natalie Ward and Brenda Rhodes of LA Hospice. A very heart-felt special thanks is also extended to D'Andra Forbito and to Robert Matthews of Aulds Funeral Home of Shreveport, La. for their support and acts of kindness.

Memorial services in celebration of her life will be held at the Paron Baptist Church in West Sterlington, La. from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014.
