Born in Greenville, South Carolina, she was the daughter of Virgil Lee and Rhea Fleming Lavender. Marsha was a homemaker and a member of Pelzer United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Dendy Lee Ross (Jimmy Thomason) of the home; a son, Eric Ross, of Anderson; granddaughter raised in the home, Kayla Rhea Ross Finley, of Simpsonville; grandchildren, James Timothy Leroy Shedd, III, McKenzie and Mason Shedd; and great granddaughter Autumn Noel Finley.

Burial: Pine Lawn Cemetery
