Gim William, son of William Alexander and Mary Elizabeth Thompson Adams, was born June 6, 1888 near Arbela, Missouri. He had one sibling named Ross Adams. While living on a farm near Farson they had two more daughters, which made eleven children in all. Later they moved to a farm north of Batavia and while the family was in town for the 4th of July celebration their house burned to the ground and they lost everything - family pictures, documents, furnishings, clothing. They moved to a farm near Eldon and after retiring Gim and Maude moved into Eldon. Besides farming Gim was a crafts person.
