Dora Annette Walker was born March 19, 1867 in American Fork, Utah Co., Utah. She was the daughter of William Henry Walker and Lydia Ann Horn. Dora was the 5th of nine children.
When Dora was fifteen years old, she married Willard Fiske Snyder, nineteen years old, in Park City, Utah. Dora and Willard had six children, Ivy May, Edward Harrison, George Willard, Hazel Nell, Guy McKinley, and Neal Dow.

Her husband and most of her sons were active in the mining industry in Utah and surrounding states.

Her youngest son was just eight years old when she died in 1906 at the young age of 38 yrs.
