She is survived by her children, Tracy N. Peters, Jr., and wife Betsy of Midlothian, Roberta Lee Peters (Becky) Martin and husband Wallace (Wally) of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, and Donna Marie Peters Jones and husband Carl of Blue Ridge. In addition, she leaves behind seven grandchildren, Tracy N. Peters, III and wife Valerie, of Greensboro, North Carolina, April P. Hosty and husband Sean of Arlington, Autumn P. Bosch and husband Jeffrey of Midlothian, Tanya M. Morgan and husband Jason of Roanoke, Carl O. Jones, Jr. and wife Lisa of Lynchburg, Stephen R. Jones and wife Linda of Waynesboro and Jennifer J. Davis and husband Paul of Roanoke. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ginny was a kind and generous person who was very proud of her family. In recent years she lived with her daughter Donna and son-in-law Carl who provided her with much love and selfless care.
Visitation will be at Lotz Funeral Home Salem, Virginia, Sunday, October 9, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. with funeral being held on Monday October 10, 2016, at 1 p.m., at the funeral home with the Rev. Brent Williams presiding. Burial will be at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Roanoke. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Colonial Presbyterian Church, 3550 Poplar Drive, SW, Roanoke, Virginia, 24018, or Medi Home Hospice at 5369 Peters Creek Road, NW, Roanoke, Virginia, 24019-3849.
