Born in Leola, she was the daughter of the late Widler S. and Emma Frymyer Groff. After 33 years of dedicated service she retired from R. R. Donnelly Printing in 1988. She was a life long member of Grace Lutheran Church, Lancaster, PA. She participated in the Park City Twalkers Club, attended the Lancaster Recreation Center, and volunteered at the S. June Smith Center.
Grammy, as most people called her, enjoyed life to the fullest. Her smile and laughter were contagious and everlasting. She lived her life centered around family, friends, and grandchildren. Grammy loved to shop, read magazines, capture photos, talk to her neighbors, visit with friends in need, and create gatherings at home with a candy dish of sweets on hand for everyone. She was a constant provider, caretaker, and administrator to her husband during his 17-year battle with Parkinson's Disease after his retirement.
Surviving are three daughters, Carol Ann Geiter wife of the late Charles H. Geiter, Jr., of Lancaster, Suzanne McKnight of Mount Joy, Denise H. Thomas, wife of Ken Thomas, Lititz; a son Dennis Hoffman, Manheim Twp.; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by 1 grandson.
A Celebration of Life will be held beginning at 2:00pm, October 15, 2016 in the Grace Lutheran Church, Fellowship Hall, Queen and James Street, Lancaster, PA. The family will have a private interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Lancaster.
