Eugenia Williams Jones, age 85 passed away September 13, 2015 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was born in Dothan, Alabama and had lived in Tallahassee since 1948. Eugenia retired with 30 years of service with the Leon County School System, she taught at Cobb Middle School. She was a member at First Baptist Church where she was actively involved in the Sanctuary Choir. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Ernest A. Jones; son Rod Jones and his wife Kristy; two grandchildren Erin J. Pace and her husband Kyle, Christopher B. Jones; brother-in law Edwin H. Jones and his wife Mary Birdie; sisters-in-law Jean Williams and Sharon Williams; and several beloved nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Welcome Center. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Youth Choirs or First Joy Music Ministries at First Baptist Church.
