Tommy Lester Baker, age 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 03, 2016. Mr. Baker was born on January 8, 1932 in Trinity, TX, son of the late Carl Baker and Lucy Mae Cochran Baker.
Mr. Baker proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed collecting antiques and attending flea markets in his spare time. His greatest joy was spending quality time with his loving wife of sixty years, Bessie Baker and his children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his sons, Lester Calvin Baker and Jimmy Lee Baker; grandson, Wesley Doyle; granddaughter; Laurie Baker.
Survivors include his wife; son, Tony Lamar (Roberta) .... of ....; daughters, Shelba ..... of ..... and Betty ... (Jerry) ..... of ....; grandchildren, Tracy .... (Robert) ...., Tonya (Josh) ..., Ben, Kayla, Bug, Robert, Jessica, Rachel and Stephanie ..... and Jonathan ...; sixteen, great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at one-thirty in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 5th of October at the Georgia National Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from eleven-thirty in the morning until twelve-thirty in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 5th of October, 2016 at Owen Funeral Home.
