Mrs. James C. Kinder
Mrs. James C. Kinder, 50 years old, died at the family home between Cape Girardeau and Jackson at 10:10 Tuesday night.
She was born Oct 8, 1912, and was a daughter of Floy Davis and Zona Colyer Davis. She attended schools in Cape Girardeau and married Mr. Kinder June 11, 1933 at Sedalia. The family lived in Cape Girardeau a number of years, and 15 years ago moved to the community east of Jackson. Mrs. Kinder served as a member of the official board of McKendree Methodist Church in Jackson, where she was a member. She belonged to the W.S.C.S., Women's Society of Christian Service of the church and also was a member of the church's committee on evangelism.
Surviving are her husband, a son, James C. Kinder Jr. of Normandy, a sister, Mrs. Harold Reiker of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Clayton Davis of Cape Girardeau; a grandson, Michael Kinder; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Eugene Montgomery of Pompano Beach, Fla.
A brother preceded her in death.
The body is at the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson and the rites will be at McKendree Church, with the Rev. John L. Glassey to be in charge.
Burial is to be at Memorial Park Cemetery. The rites will be held at 2 on Friday.
