Patrick V. Wood, 74, of N9173 Kozy Street, Curtis, Michigan went to be with his heavenly Father on September 28, 2016 at the Schoolcraft Medical Care Facility in Manistique.
He was born April 4, 1942 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Harley and Anna (McElin) Wood. He attended school in Sioux City before moving to Columbus, Ohio in 1953. He later graduated from Aquinas High School with the class of 1960.
On May 16, 1992 he married the former Brenda M. Bradley in Columbus, Ohio. They made their home and raised their family there.
Patrick was employed as a warehouseman with the Kobacker Company of Columbus, retiring in 1994. Following retirement, Patrick and Brenda moved to Omaha, Nebraska where they enjoyed traveling, camping and their love of sports. They later moved to Curtis, Michigan where they enjoyed the remainder of their retirement.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Wood of Curtis; step-daughters, Kelly Keaton of Ironton, Ohio, Karla (Johnny) Gorthi and Kian Lemaster of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; step-grandchildren, Dylan, Morgan, Kelsey, Makenna, Chelsea, and Jiya; step-great-great grandchildren, McCaden and Malikhi; his brother, Michael (Patty) Wood of Lancaster, Ohio; his sister, Anna (Gaynor) Gilmore of El Cajon, California; his mother-in-law, Inez Wear of Portsmouth, Ohio; and his sister-in-laws Barbara (Arvid) Bergman of Leavenworth, Kansas and Alice (Keith) Schrader of Engadine, Michigan; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Harley and James Wood; his sisters, Jeanne Thoma and Winefred Randall; his sister-in-laws, Margorie Wood and Alice Wood; and his brother-in-laws, Richard Thoma and Dick Randall.
