Deane L. Fox 57, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Grand Island, died Monday, May 9, 1994 at Oklahoma City. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Burial was in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery with Honor Guard by Fort Riley, Kan.

Mr. Fox was born Aug. 13, 1936 in Grand Island to Carl and Lois (Newhouser) Fox. For several years the family lived in Litchfield, where Deane graduated from Litchfield high school. He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln with a degree in business.

He was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally Meritorious Service. He was a Chief Warrant Officer-3.

He was a member of the Havelock United Methodist Church in Lincoln and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post No. 181.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn of Oklahoma City; one son, Randy Angus of Lincoln; two daughters, Sandy (Mrs. Phillip) Yoakum of Lincoln and Kand (Mrs. Dave) Albert of Clatonia; four grandchildren; his mother, Lois Fox of Lincoln, and two sisters, Jeanne (Mrs. Gary) McCord of Bechetellsville, Pa., and Carlene (Mrs. Dick) Myers of Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl.
