Phyllis was born on May 13, 1927 in Douglas County, IL, the daughter of Marion L. and Mary I. Newberry Taylor. She married Clinton “Clint’ Emberton on July 14, 1950 in Tuscola, IL. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2006.
Surviving are her daughter: Lavina Rayl of Atwood, IL, 2 grandchildren, daughter-in-law: Lori “George” Englemann of Danville, IL, sister: Wanda Schuster of Morrisville, MO
She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Edmund Reid Emberton, 1 brother and 6 sisters.
Phyllis was a retired factory worker. She was very much a people person and truly enjoyed her many friendships.
