OBITUARY: Barry Adage Newspaper, Barry, Pike, IL, Fri. Jan. 27, 1882, In the death of Mrs. Caroline Babcock, relict of the late Orlando Babcock, our town loses another landmark. Mrs. Babcock was born in the year 1806, and came to this county at an early period of her life. She joined the Baptist church as early as 1841, by letter, and remained a consistent member up to the time of her death, last Tuesday. Her funeral took place from the Baptist church on Wednesday and the services were conducted by Rev. Green. A large number of relatives and friends followed the remains to their last resting place."
