Arthur "Gene" Foltz, 83, of Quincy died at 12:10 p.m. Thursday (October 6, 2016) in the Illinois Veteran's Home in Quincy.

Born May 19, 1933, Gene was the son of Noah Stall and Mabel Izora Henning Foltz.

Gene served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a Keypunch Operator at Motorola for several years until his retirement. Gene enjoyed cars and was very active at the Veteran's Home.

Survivors include his daughter, Theresa Flachs (Michael) of Quincy; one grandchild, Elizabeth Flachs of Quincy; one great grandchild, Kamryn Flachs of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Foltz was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and William Foltz; and one sister, Myrl Evans.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 in the All Faiths Chapel at the Illinois Veteran's Home with Chaplain David Hall officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery at the Illinois Veteran's Home with Military Honors by the Quincy American Legion Post No. 37 and the United States Navy Funeral Honor Guard.

Visitation will be Wednesday morning from 9:00 until the time of services in the All Faiths Chapel at the Illinois Veteran's Home.

Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veteran's Home Activity Fund.
