Thelma Paulene Cannon passed away on Oct. 4, 2016 at the home of her daughter, Chris, in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Thelma was born December 5, 1933 in Twin Falls, Idaho to William James Colan and Hazel Elliot Bates. Thelma lived all over southern Idaho until her family moved to Hailey where she met and married William Clifton Prestridge in March 1950. To this union were born three children William Johnny, Robert Clifton and Chris Ann Prestridge. They were later divorced.
Thelma then met and married William Charles (Bill) Cannon and added a step son, Ron to their, family. They lived in Carey, Idaho and later moved to Arco, Idaho.
Thelma and Bill loved to dance, she loved animals and together they raised all kinds. She was a good cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. After her children were grown, they opened up their hearts and home to several foster daughters. Two of those were Amber and Amy who have stayed in touch though out the years. After Bill died she moved to Idaho Falls where she lived until she moved in with her daughter in Blackfoot.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life Bill Cannon, her parents and several sisters.
She is survived by her children John (Irene) Prestridge, Cliff (Sherrie) Prestridge, Chris (Ed) Carpenter, step son Ron (Tana) Cannon, and sister Vicky Anderson.
